Materials processing, nano surface engineering of materials, micro/nano tribological studies of hard coatings, atomistic simulations of interface structure-property relationships, thermodynamic modeling of metastable phases, synthesis of carbon nanotubes, atomic layer deposition of conformal nano-scale coatings and laser processing. MEMS devices, molecular motors and packaging. Energy systems, improved performance of K-12 school buildings, building simulation. Combustion, Biofuels, Spacecraft Systems and Simulations.
